Meet the Founder My name is Brian Brassell, and I want to welcome and thank you for taking the time to read my story. I was born and raised in Grantville, PA by the two greatest parents anyone could hope for. My mother spent most of her working years as an administrative assistant, and my father was a teacher for East Pennsboro School District. Together, they exemplified the values of honesty, effort, and integrity that I adhere to today in my professional career. I would not be the individual or advisor I am today without their guidance and unconditional support.I began my career in 2001 as an insurance agent with Bankers Life and Casualty after graduating from the Pennsylvania State University. Less than a year later, I was honored to be recognized as one of the top ten agents in the Northeast Region of the company out of thousands of agents who worked in that area. That recognition and the desire to expand upon my base of knowledge led me to pursue the Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) designation, which I was awarded in 2005. I left the comfort of a corporate setting in the spring of 2006, and in an effort to expand the scope and quality of the services I could provide, I founded Senior Advising Services, an insurance brokerage focused on risk management and insurance solutions for senior clients. The experiences, both good and bad, of creating and managing a business of my own has had a profound effect on my career as an advisor. I understand the struggle to achieve personal financial goals as well as anyone, and this drives me to do the very best possible for every one of my clients.I also believe the key to improving in business is evolving, So in 2016, I sat for and passed two comprehensive examinations. The first, FINRA's Series 65 - Uniform Investment Advisor Law exam, allowed me to partner with Brookstone Capital Management, a Registered Investment Advisory firm. Through this partnership, I am able to offer clients professionally-managed investment portfolios specifically tailored to meet their financial goals. So, in addition to helping clients protect wealth using insurance, I can now help clients build wealth through investment management. The second exam, for the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) designation, has vastly expanded my knowledge of the retirement planning process, and has made me an invaluable resource for anyone entering that phase of life.Senior Advising Services was officially renamed Brassell Wealth and Retirement Planning in 2017 to reflect the vast array of new products and advisory services I can offer. The business has grown from my belief that money can either empower or imprison, and that "wealth" doesn't happen by accident. My desire to help individuals achieve their dreams drives me in business, my profound love for my family drives me in everything else. I currently live in the Palmyra area with my wife and Sunday School sweetheart, Elizabeth, and my two angels, Cayden and Barrett.
